What exactly is AI?

#1

"Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are programmed to think like humans and mimic their actions. It allows businesses to be more efficient and simplifies much of our daily lives."

"One of the biggest concerns about AI is that it will make humans redundant. After all, if our jobs require analyzing and interpreting information and using it to make decisions, it's very probable that machines can now do it at least as accurately, and certainly much faster, than we can!"

"The technologies powering both new Bing's 'chat answers' and Google's Bard for Search are called 'large language models'. These are neural networks, or deep learning algorithms, that have been trained on vast amounts of data and can generate conversational responses to prompts."

I say there is nothing wrong with newer and better search engines and data sources. In the long run AI was inevitable. People have always tried to make machines seem intelligent.
