The main differences between the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro lie in their designs, audio and camera capabilities, and additional features. The MacBook Air is slightly larger and thinner than the MacBook Pro, but it has a notch on the screen and no longer has the tapered design that it was known for. On the other hand, the MacBook Pro still features Apple's Touch Bar strip, which is not available on the MacBook Air. In terms of audio and camera, the MacBook Air has a better sound system and a higher resolution FaceTime camera compared to the MacBook Pro . Additionally, the 13-inch MacBook Pro has an older design with larger bezels and harsh edges, while the newer MacBook Pro models have sleeker designs with smaller bezels and a camera notch at the top. Both the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro have the same number of ports, with two Thunderbolt 4/USB-C ports and a headphone jack. The MacBook Air also has a larger display and a six-speaker sound system, making it a better option for video conferencing. However, the MacBook Pro still retains the Touch Bar, which is not available on the MacBook Air.
